The first conference on Responsible Skiing was held on 19th October 2011 at Earls Court in London.
The conference was addressing the question: "What would Responsible Skiing look like?" Veronica Tonge kicked off the day with an introduction to and the business case for Responsible Skiing and she was followed by a great line up of speakers bringing case studies and examples from around the world. The event was a great success and attracted a large number of people representing 10 countries from around the world. Feedback included.... "A really thought provoking conference" "Lots of interesting content" "Excellent speakers" "I hope you run it again next year" The conference was chaired by Harold Goodwin of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism and the other speakers aside from Veronica from Responsible Skiing were from: ABTA The Travel Association, The Ski Club of Great Britain, Neilson Active, Eurostar, Snowcarbon, Alpe D'Huez, The Austrian National Tourist Board, Crystal Ski, Whistler Blackcomb, The Green Tourism Business Scheme and Exodus.
